Twilight Party

So my sister and I (and others) have read the Twilight books and loved them. My sister likes them a lot and told me she and my friend Lauren wanted a combine Twilight b-day party. I told her I would throw it and I did. It was so fun. Everyone wore black, white, and/or red. We ate dinner, played Twilight BINGO, Pictionary, and talked about the books. It was a lot of fun. We gave them a CD of the playlist as a party favor. I think I might throw one of these again, it was so fun. What I learned for next time is to asign someone to picture taking because tyring to host the party and nurse a baby do not leave any time for pictures.

First REAL bath

This is Gracie in her first real bath after her belly button nasty fell off. She loved it. She just sat there so relaxed the whole time and she still loves baths. They can really calm her down.

Uncle Mark is Home!

One of the main reasons I was induced was because my brother Mark was coming home from his mission. I was sooo excited to see him. It was so fun to have him home. Right after he got released we took off in a mad rush to go see The Borne Ultimatum (which was awesome). He watched the the trailer on my sisters ipod since he hadn't scene it and we were late so she was driving like...well, Jason Borne. It was a lot of fun. It took William awhile to warm up to him, but he did and he loves his Uncle Mark.

Watch her grow

She just keeps eating and growing. She is starting to look different than William did. Who would have thought brown hair? Russ was born bald, but his first hair was blonde.

We are back!

We just got back yesterday from spending 3 weeks with our family. A lot happend and I am just getting used to having 2 kids, so I will get things posted slowly, but surely. At least I hope surely. We will start with going to see Jacie and her new baby.
We got to meet Rand, Jacie's little boy. They were born just 2 days apart. Gracie is our little yellow baby.
Checking out the babies
Rand nursing on Gracie's arm. They are really close.

First Day at Church

We went to church yesterday and it was Gracie's first time. A lot of people told me I was crazy for being there and that it took them a lot longer to feel good enough to go. That makes me think that I am pretty lucky that I am feeling so good and healing so well. I don't know a ton about having babies so I am not sure about how long it should take before you feel well enough to do certain things. Don't get me wrong, I am not back to my old self, but I definitely felt good enough to go to church and I am glad I did, it was a wonderful meeting.

Good ole' Grandma and Grandpa

This is a picture we took before Russ' parents left. We so appreciated them being here, William loves having them here. Gracie did too.

Let's compare

I love having a girl

My mom gave us these adorable roses and the blanket she is laying on.
Russ mom made the quilt she is laying on here.

The very little Girl

So I guess this is what she looked like inside my tummy.
Watching a movie together.
Okay, I look really nasty in this picture, but it shows how small she is.
Gotta love the pacifier.

Our Gracie Girl

So, yes, she is here. Yeah! And isn't she beautiful. I know I'm her mother, but she is such a beautiful baby. She looks very much like William did when he was born except she has brown hair. I know, can you believe it? She was born at 6:07 pm on Monday, July 30th. She wieghed 7lbs. 2oz. (a wonderful size if you ask me). She is very mild mannered and just a sweet as can be. I love dressing her up in pink. William loves her a lot. He always wants to hold her or kiss her and always says how cute she is. He has had some temper problems that I am sure have something to do with her comig home, but luckily, it is never directed at her. My mom and dad and brother and sister all came up and helped take care of William when I was in the hospital. Thanks you guys, that helped us out a ton to not havet to worry about him and if he was happy, he is always happy with you. Russ' mom and dad came up after they left and are here now helping out and loving their newest granddaughter. It is fun to have them here. Labor and delivery went very well . I loved my doctor and my nurse, they were excellent. My epidural worked well enough that I was not shaking from pain, but could feel my contractions and new when to push. Push only lasted about 12 minutes and she was in my arms, beautiful and perfect. I spent the first hour laying in bed letting the inducing gel work, the next hour was spent walking around the hospital in my awesome gown. The next hour was spent in the hot bath with jets (a wonderful place to labor, I recomend it to anyone.) After that we watched the Borne Identity on TV, got the epidural, waited for my doctor to break my water, and before we knew it, we had a daughter. It is such an amazing experience and like last time I was amazed that she actually came out, and I didn't die doing it. Anyway, we are now a family of four and I can't wait to watch her grow and get to know her personality better. Thanks for all the love!

Waiting and Waiting...

Well, I have been what some might call depressed the past couple weeks. I keep wanting to go into labor and it keeps not happening. I also got sick with a nasty sore throat and then runny nose and sinus headache. I have been laying around like I am dying for the past couple days or sleeping. Today we went to the doctor today and I found out that if I don't have the baby by Monday the 30th I will be enduced!!!Yeah!!!I am sooo happy. I can not wait to meet this little girl!

Happy Birthday to Russ!

Today is Russ' birthday and he is 26!!! William and I woke him up with the song Celebration and dancing. Then we got up and went to the duck pond (the same place we have gone every morning for the past week.)

Russ loved to feed the ducks

And William loves to throw rocks in the water. I think he could do that all day if we let him.
Then because I am sick, I took a nap while William and Russ went to lake Mary with our friends the Leglers. William got to throw more rocks and they cought crawdads (sp?) and had a lot of fun.
When they got back William helped me make Russ birthday peach pie, or at least he licked the mixer for me.
Then we sang Happy Birthday to Russ and William really enjoyed that. Check out our awesome candles from our 72 hour kit and the one left over from Williams last birthday - I know, I'm awesome.
In fact he enjoyed it so much he had to join Russ for another round of song and blowing out the candles.

We love Russ so much and appreciated the cards, calls, and presents from our loved ones. Man I am glad that he was born. Where would I be without him?

Oh, an Austrian went Yodeling...

Yesterday Russ put the lederhosen that he bought for his nephew while he was on his mission on William. Russ and I both thought he looked adorable. We drove to the top of the mountain and took some pictures, hoping that the bumpy road would put me into labor. Yeah right. But our little Austrian is adorable.

Let it Rain

It started raining the other day,and we can never get William to walk out in the rain. Well today we gave him an umbrella and he would not come out of the rain, even though they don't keep you dry when you don't hold them over your head.

Christensen Family Reunion

Click on the picture above if you would like to veiw a slide show of my family reunion.

This last weekend we had a family reunion with Russ' family. We spent some time in the valley and then went to a cabin. It was a lot of fun. William loved playing with his cousins, his little cousin Elliegh and he were inseperable and constantly fighting with eachother. His older cousins were all so nice to him and I know he feels so loved around them. I love having him spend time with them. Everyone, and I mean everyone, in that family is so amazing. We had so much fun and loved every minute of it. The cute little baby is our niece that we got to meet for the first time and she loved the attention. Oh my gosh, she is sooo cute. I love talking with all my husbads sinblings, I have felt like on of the family since day one and I really appreciate it. His family is very different from my family, and I love both. I feel so blessed to be a part of this wonderful group pf people.
