So I never did get around to making a dress for Gracie, but I did find a little hat at a thrift store. It had small, white, ribbon roses around it that I took off and replaced with one large fabric flower and she wore a dress that I borrowed from my sister in law. She looked really sweet.
William wore the same outfit as last year only with different pants. We went to the temple after church to try and get some nice picture of the kids, but it didn't work out. They were tired and it was sunny. This is the best that I got.
This was the worst. Apparently she did not want William touching her.
The pictures below are probably going to be hard to see but when we walked up to the flowers we saw a humming bird (drinking from the purple flowers that William is looking at). We told William to stop because he would scare it away but he went a little closer and...
...the humming bird turned around and just looked at him (it is hard to see in the picture, he is in front of the green leaves next to the purple flower). It was crazy. He did it for a few seconds and then flew into a tree over us and sat there. We decided that he liked William.
The night before when we had been driving home we were talking to William about Jesus and how he died for us and William said, "I don't want to die." I asked him why and he said, "I am afraid of dying." Russ and I then explained that we will all die but we don't know when and that it is okay because Jesus died for us and we will live again. When I explained it to him it helped me realize how silly I am for being so afraid of death and how grateful I am for my Savior and this Easter season to celebrate him. It is becoming my favorite holiday. When we got home we heard the last song of the Easter pageant so William got on his bike and we got Gracie in the stroller and got there in time to see Christ rise and everyone sing, "I Know He Lives" and guess what, I know too.
