I told him he was absolutely right and William got his Dad his fathers day gift. Then we went to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for a nice Fathers Day Breakfast. When we got home William promptly told him (despite the repeated coaching not to), "We got you a present, it's basketball". So Russ thought he was getting a basketball since we recently misplaced ours. But luckily William was not that good at describing. We had Russ open that gift that night though because I was afraid William could not keep anymore in that long. Russ loved it, and it is made even better because William picked it out. I will have to add pictures of Russ opening it later since they are on the computer at home.
Then next morning we had a nice breakfast of pancakes with strawberries and cream and bacon (wouldn't be a treat for Russ without bacon) and some Simply Orange to drink (we empty a bottle of that stuff pretty quick). Then Russ got to open his gift from me.
You might be thinking, "that looks like a pile of old t-shirts." and you would be right. This a quilt top made of Russ' high school and college shirts. And Russ, being the sentimental guy that he is loves it. I didn't do the back yet because I was not sure if he would want a jean quilt or a throw. He wants a throw so I will have to get working on that.Oh, how we love this Dad

Oh cool. I have been wanting to make a quilt like this for Nick for a long time, but I don't even know where to begin. You will have to help one of these days. He has a bunch of old Gilbert High shirts that he refuses to get rid of and I hate them:) I was totally planning on coming to the shower last night. Had it all planned out and then Rand got sick. How was it? We'll have to do a girl's night with Jennie one time when we're both in town.
