Fireworks

The Saturday before the 4th was when we celebrated the 4th of July. Connie and Mimi came over and saved me from watching (or being a lone while others watched) a UFC fight. We ate hamburgers and veggie burgers and swam. Here is Mimi playing the hand slapping game with William. It was funny to watch. After swimming I was not sure if we would be able to see the Mesa fireworks from our house so we went down town, found an awesome parking spot and went to get some frozen yogurt. Right as we got it the fireworks started so we went out to watch them.

The kids thought they were pretty cool.
In the pictures below I am not leaking, I was just holding my water bottle against my chest:) Oh well.

After the kids did not seem all that interested in the fireworks we went to let them go down the big air slides. It worked out great because most of the other kids were busy watching the fireworks so the lines were not too long.
William LOVES these slides and Gracie got up to the top and started crying so Connie went up to rescue her.

What a good auntie.
Then before the fireworks were over we headed back to our great parking spot and were pulling out as the fireworks ended. So we missed the traffic. It was awesome.

Happy 4th of July
