Happy birthday to ME!

The night before my birthday my neighbor and visiting teacher brought over a giant cookie. William could not have been more excited.

On the morning of my birthday I woke up to a kiss and a whispered "Happy Birthday" from Russ. Then I crept back into dream land as he crept out the door and off to work. Then I woke up to this- How did he know I would be on the computer?

Did you know dry erase marker wipes right off a computer screen? I decided for my birthday I did not want to do anything, but read with the kids. That only lasted a little while because the kids could not sit still and wanted to jump more than read and eventually Gracie fell off the bed. So I made myself some cinnamon rolls. I don't bake much and don't like a ton of sweets, but I do love a good Cinnabon so I found a recipe that was supposed to be as good and it was very good. My mom called and told me that there was a gift for me waiting under the counter of a near by store. So I took a short stroll and retrieved my new Clearplay DVD player! This is exciting for me because I will now watch a lot more movies that I would not before and they will be clean to my standards. This was a present for Russ too, he is way excited. Soooo, Chris I need Bottle Rocket back. (Just kidding:)

Connie came over and brought me some beautiful flowers and a gift card to blockbuster so I can go rent some of the movies I wouldn't before. She also wrote a really nice birthday post for me that kinda made me cry. And I am still loving these flowers.

My friend Mimi also came over and brought us some movies we wouldn't have watched before and showed me some of the wardrobe she has for our next little stop motion film. Have you seen this? It has totally inspired me and got me excited for the next one. She and Connie also showed me how to function on Facebook and I now know how to read what is on my wall. Thanks everyone!

Then Russ' parents were in the neighborhood so they brought over some ice cream and well wishes.

Someone from my bank even called to wish me a happy birthday?!

When Russ got home we got dressed up and he took me out to an Italian restaurant I have always wanted to go to. It was yummy (I love Italian) but the company was better. We don't get out much. He gifted me a coupon for a full body massage every month and the masseuse is none other than himself and I wouldn't have it any other way.My brother Mark and his wife Ashley babysat for us and when we came home the house was CLEAN and my flowers were in a vase. That is the first time that has happened to me and it felt so good. A wonderful gift. It was a beautiful day.

The next morning my mom came over and helped me finish my long time project - all-in-one cloth diapers! It feels sooooo good to have them finally done - and they work!

Then Ashley made us some chili for lunch and Mark came and ate with us. It is something new to live so close to family and to have a place big enough for them to gather. I love it! That is a gift in and of itself. I am a happy girl - I am 25 now, maybe I can start calling myself a woman. Maybe. Thanks for all the gifts and well wishes. I love you all!

Happy Birthday Debbie! Sound like you had a wonderful day. You make your own cloth diapers? That is so exciting for me, but I am due in March and would love some tips. I used cloth diapers with Nathan and Emma and loved it. Did you finish them for you or are you starting a business? Let me know.
