The Hunt with the Hustons

For Easter we went to hunt eggs in a wash near my parents house. Russ took the kids on the golf cart and met the rest of us there. By the time we got there he had succesfully trained the kids to do "three cheers for Grandma and Grandpa!" Here they are yelling, "hip, hip, hooray!" Russ loves doing that. Here we are crossing the canal. William was making me nervous.

A perfect afternoon

While I was sick I spent the week at my moms and then Russ would bring me to the new house for weekends. This was a Sunday afternoon spent filling up the pool (which now has a fence around it). Our yard in the background of these pictures looks worse than it did then, but I hope it will look better soon.

We also spent another Sunday afternoon laying on pillows and blankets in the grass of our front yard. Enjoying the breeze, shade, smell of citrus blossoms. We were out there for hours and I loved it. The kids would lay by me, then get up and run around and bring me a flower. Spending days like this with my family are what I live for.

At Grandma's

We were so lucky that Grandma and Grandpa were willing to let us come live with them. We were there from the end of February to the beginning of April. They took care of the kids while I laid on the couch and they took care of me. All while dealing with and helping the other 7 children in my family. I learned a lot about my mother during that time and I hope that some day I am more like her.

As soon as we got there William set up all the lion king toys and then put the movie on. Here is Gracie feeding her baby. She was making my mom and I laugh because when the doll kicked the bowl of cheerios over she said to her, "you always do that". She also started saying her common phrase, "it doesn't matter!"

Here she is tired out and just fell asleep on the couch by me but then we made her a little bed on the floor.

And here she is with my moms reading glasses on. Both my children did so well excepting the fact that I was sick and that Grandma needed to get things for them and help them. When they needed something they asked her. But just as soon as I was feeling a little bit better Gracie started wanting me to do everything.

I don't know what I would have done without my mom and dad. They turned what could have been a horrible experience for me into and positive one and I will forever be grateful.

What happens when Russ and William have tub crayons. I am called into this.

Unfortunately what started as a good time turned into sadness and tears because it "got in his eye" and "was drying and itchy" so Russ quickly washed him off.

This game was fun, but I am glad they have not re-discovered it at the new house.

Our Ward V-day party

We went for yummy Italian dinner and Gracie insisted on wearing this (six 6 mo. old) Minnie dress so I threw one her leggings and she hand one sweet outfit. This picture makes me laugh. Russ is always trying to get kisses.

William spent his time running around with his buddies.

After it was over we went to a friends to watch a movie and in the movie they were eating hamburgers and I mentioned to Russ that In-and-Out sounded really good. A few minutes later he got up and left and came back with a burger from In-and-Out for me. What a good husband!

Bon Voyage

Connie went to London and Paris for a couple weeks and we went to say goodbye the night before she left.

Gracie probably gave her 20 hugs.

She got to miss 2 weeks of me being sick, I wish I could have done that.

To my blog readers

I am so behind on this blog. It is now JUNE and I am still in FEBRUARY! I have gone back and forth about trying to catch up or just moving on and I just can't move on. For the sake of the family blog book I have to catch up, but I am going to try and do it quickly assuming my computer and blogger cooperate. That being said there will probably be a lot of post done in a short period of time. Sorry about that, but I just have to get it done!
